Merci.

My experience:
Very confusing, you loose your sense of orientation totally but its fun.
The only thing I miss right now is to see what I did. With a dancer, it must
be very nice and gracious. I dont know if I would do that in front of
everyone but it stays very interesting. The noise makes you feel youre
in a totally different world.

V. fun idea, but a bit confusing to understand. Would probably be much more
effective when completely dark room. Makes you feel quite lost in the space.

Mon experience

Merci.

etrange experience, qui move.. qui? Lhomme, la machine, mais aussi la
liberté.
if professional dancers do this together, what would happen? Because they try
to follow the pictures at first, but soon they move by themselves, I guess.

A quoi ceci peutil amaner?

Thank you very much, its very good.

- would like to be freer in the movement, so no cabling. Otherwise I have to
split my attention taking care of the wires.
- In first instance I missed information/instruction flow, but after a while
I discovered space for improvisation and interpretation.
- Questions: I wonder how much my inside experience which was a very present
kind of state would be reflected/visible on the outside.
- Go on.

As an observer, I felt there could be interesting possibilities, perhaps, to
see the effects of long-distance controlling of the movers. The direction could
come from anywhere.
While giving the direction from the computer, I felt the set-up made it terribly
difficult to actually give them directional input, as the movements were so
slight that I had the impression the movers couldnt perceived what was,
to me, obvious shift. They seemed to grasp left/right directional movement,
but often showed no reaction to front/back direction. Is there a way that the
computer could see the dancers at the same time as giving them direction?
Interesting that the movers could not see one another, but could see the representations
of themselves. Perhaps with suggestion and practice they could experiment with
relation to one anothers bodies more, less direction imitation of the
visual representations they see in their headsets.
I would be interested to see how the music interacts with movers when they take
the space, experiment with different dynamics and speeds. Is it possible to
control the two movers from two inputs, so that the two people could give simultaneous
input?
Even if there were two inputs and one controller, it would increase possibilities
for interaction, I feel.
I wonder what their sensation of touch is, personally, with no sight on each
other but on virtual representations, and with spandex fabric? Do they think
of that? Where is the dancers attention?
Very interesting interactive possibilities! I wonder if they were cognizant
of the music changes? They didnt seem to react t o changes perhaps
help them trigger sounds that they can in turn react to.
I am interested in any info you write, have on the progression of this work,
please feel free to email.

etait glaceé, frontale, on oublie lenergie
dansante.

A question what does it mean to have your leader in your face.
This is how I felt lead by the nose
or eyes.
The homemade one is too close to really see.
Whish the avatars give me more interesting movement to do. Maybe something more
abstract to inspire movement what if we were to do a blind duet inspired
by a field of flowers in the visor less copying more freedom of
movement.
Food for thought. Interesting stuff.

Oppresion. Close-up to an android.
So much far from my friend Magali. Didnt feel her.
Hard noise who makes me feel rigid.
Cramp.

my experience with the interface was confusing with the larger device. I couldnt
see in focus . when I tried the other pair of glasses I could actually see the
model.
The blue figure is not as strong as the red one, maybe the color could change
to a stronger color.
A joystick could work better for the person conductive the image in the monitor.
The movement of the head is not perceived by the user of the device.
Instead of clicking in order tro move the figure, it would be better if one
could put the cursor on the part of the body to be moved.
Thanks for the experience!

Great idea! I was thinking that one way to improve the vision is to add a possibility
to focus the vision (as the video camera. Then each person can adapt the image
to his own eyes/perception.
I also had the idea of a very private performance each person can see what they
want (this added to the possibility to see something (what they want) and also
receive messages while they see through the glasses.
Good luck!
Maria Inés
To add
Instead of using the mouse and click can the user go to the figure and drag
into the exrtremities (and not clicking into the bar menu) using the cursor.
need to improve to sense the speed + dynamics of movements. Will be good for
video-games ideas such as karate/ games in the shops.

floue. Jai apprécié cette experience qui est original.

A very interesting way to experience movement whith y strong possibilities for
development. I admire the fact that you are attempting to influence real human
movement by using remote commands this is a difficult problem but you
have made a very good start. Perhaps you could consider adding some form of
sensory feedback to the system to give the performers an additional cue. The
head-mounted display was a little hard to focus on. However I very much enjoyed
using the system and I look forward to seeing what you do with it in the future.
